(g).

The lessees to erect on new land within

5 years of the date mentioned in (c) buildings to the value of

$25,000.

(h). The lessees to make provision, at their

own cost and to the satisfaction of the Director of Public Works, for any drainage that may be interfered with by the filling in of the lot and adjoining roads.

(i). The lessees, at their own cost and to the

satisfaction of the Director of Public Works, to protect the filling-in where required by him by means of pitched slopes

or other approved means.

(j). Permission to be given to the lessees to

obtain earth from Crown Land in the vicinity for the purpose mentioned in (d). Any boulders met with in the course of obtaining the earth to be removed by the lessees who will be permitted to make use of the stone from such boulders.

The Land Officer and Director of

Public Works concur in the above recommendations: but, as

they involve a grant of so large an extension without auction,
